World Arena Rugby (“W.A.R.”)
World Arena Rugby Union, LLC (“W.A.R.”) is a privately held Company that owns, operates and manages all aspects of an indoor rugby league, controlling all local advertising, marketing, team marks and merchandising rights.
The game itself showcases 14 of the toughest men on earth battling for 52minutes in a seven-a-side version of rugby, a sport that has been played for over 150 years.
World Arena Rugby Union, LLC (“WAR”), a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Zuma Beach Entertainment, Inc (ZMBC), operates and manages all aspects of the indoor rugby league, controlling all local advertising, marketing, team marks and merchandising rights.
Competed on artificial turf within the confines of an indoor arena, this high scoring game offers unique on-the-fly substitutions to promote fast, non-stop action. It is a tough, physically demanding, electrifyingly entertaining, and above all fan-friendly sport.
Zuma completed the purchase of all of the assets of WAR in February 2008. Zuma anticipates launching a kick off event and the inaugural season of WAR in June 2010.
WAR will be the first professional indoor rugby league consisting of at least six teams in strategic markets in the United States. WAR will be a global sports organization leader by investing in cutting edge marketing and promotional strategies designed to capitalize on the expanding depth of interest in edgy sports entertainment by building WAR into a profitable sports entertainment product that generates revenue streams from ticket sales, licensing and merchandising and broadcast revenue.
